GREENSBURG (KDKA) — An attorney in South Greensburg now deals with expenses after a shooting incident at his tax office.
Tax lawyer Jeffrey Burzawa left the Greensburg Police Department nearly nine hours after police acquired a 911 name from his workplace on Broad Street early Friday.
“We had a name come through the 911 center for reviews of pictures fired inside the structure,” said Chief Scott Fanchalsky, South Greensburg Police Department.
Police said Burzawa allegedly fired one shot from a weapon inside his tax office on Broad Street, but the motive behind the shooting has no longer been released.
Chief Fanchalsky stated an additional individual was inside the building on time – a girl working in her office on the first round – however, she became no longer the target.
“No, we don’t believe there was any goal,” Fanchalsky stated.
According to the police document, she heard the gunshot, ran out into the hallway, and noticed the smell of a fired gun. She then ran outdoors and was referred to as 911, according to police.
Burgaw got here outdoors next, and police handcuffed him without incident.
He’s now dealing with prices for allegedly recklessly endangering any other character and discharging a weapon.
No one was injured. Burgaw walked out of the police department on a $5,000 unsecured bond.
He’s set to stand those expenses before they choose in two weeks.
